What to Build:

Participants will develop a project that addresses a real-world climate or environmental challenge. Projects can be developed individually or in teams of 3. You are encouraged to think creatively. Your project does not need to completely solve a large-scale climate issue; instead, focus on identifying a specific problem and developing a thoughtful, impactful solution.

What to Submit

Each participant or team should be prepared to present:

1. The Problem — What climate or environmental challenge are you addressing?
2. Your Solution — What are you proposing, and how does it address the problem?
3. Research & Development — What research, data, or evidence supports your idea?
4. Project / Prototype — What did you create or develop?
5. Impact & Feasibility — What impact could your solution have, and how could it realistically be implemented?
6. Final Pitch — A presentation showcasing your project to judges and industry professionals at the in-person Showcase Day at Stanford University.

An example pitch deck and judging rubric will be provided to participants to help guide project development and final presentations. "
